On Thursday, December 22nd we will have a Holiday Party/Sing-Along in our room. This celebration will take place during our regular class time. A note will be sent home telling you about the activities we have planned. Grandparents and other special people are invited too! It will be a fun, relaxed celebration for all. That will also be the last day of school until we return after Winter Break on Tuesday, January 3rd.
When we return in January we will enjoy traditional winter fun activities - we will decorate with snowmen and snowflakes and hopefully get the chance to play with some “real” snow in our sensory table. We will also be adding some new daily routines for the class in January. Each child will get a turn to water the plants, be a line leader, bell ringer and snack helper, and of course help feed our “critters!” Taking pride and ownership of the classroom helps to build on the social (taking turns), emotional (developing self-confidence) and cognitive (following directions and counting) skills that we have been working so hard on.
Have a wonderful December and a happy holiday season,
Lori & Anna
